Our role

The Latvian Textile Industry Association is the united voice of an industry that designs, sews, weaves, develops, manufactures, and sells.

We came together not for formality, but for impact, to give Latvian textiles strength, visibility, and a future at home and beyond Latvia’s borders.

Mission

Our mission is to:

• Build a reliable value added chain, from materials and production to design, logistics, and sales.
• Develop a strong workforce, helping businesses find skilled people, and helping people build careers and grow.
• Open doors for talent, identifying promising professionals and giving them real opportunities within the industry.
• Represent the industry’s interests in the public sector and internationally.
• Grow partnerships, working with ambassadors, investors, and strategic market players.
• Create new products and formats, developing new models for growth and sustainable revenue for association members.
• Collect and share industry intelligence that helps entrepreneurs make faster and more accurate decisions.
• Support education and hands on training by sponsoring schools and educational institutions with materials for practical textile learning.

How we started

Why we formed

The Association was born from a simple and honest understanding: an industry is strong when it acts as one.

Who joined at the start

We brought together textile related companies and professionals from across the sector garment manufacturers, fabric and synthetic fiber producers, model agencies, fashion design and pattern making studios, as well as established sustainable fashion brands and marketplaces.
